“I have always felt a special connection to the elder population, beginning at age 14 when I volunteered at the nursing facility where my mother worked as Director of Nursing. I learned how special older adults are, and all about their unique needs. I became very interested in helping improve the quality of life for elders. After working in a memory care unit in 2005, I realized I had a calling for this work, and decided to pursue college to that end. It is very important to me to help our elder population maintain as much independence as possible while preserving dignity and encouraging meaningful activities. I look forward to supporting our clients and their families.”
