EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming of client on a routine basis.
- Assist with toileting and incontinence issues of client as needed.
- Provide stabilization and assistance with walking as needed, including transferring client to bed, chairs, wheelchair, etc., as required.
- Manage dementia and Alzheimer’s related behaviors, (i.e., wandering, paranoia) as required.
- Prepare meals and clean-up meal-related items.
- Provide medication reminders and appointment reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, making beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and laundry.
- Accompany client to personal and medical appointments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- One year of in-home care experience with elderly individual; or equivalent experience and education in a CNA program.
- Must include experience with activities of daily living (ADLs), including incontinence care.
- Experience working with client(s) with dementia
- Bathing, dressing & feeding a person with dementia.
- Experience managing difficult behaviors.
- Experience with activity engagement
- Ability to pass background check.
- Must possess your own reliable, safe, fully-insured vehicle along with a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance. Ability to drive or take public transportation to client locations is also required, and providing incidental transportation using your vehicle or a client’s vehicle may also be required.
- Able to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) (i.e. grooming, toileting, bathing)
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to follow safety precautions and procedures.
- Ability to work at least one weekend day per week.

Windward Life Care and Home Health is seeking a part-time On-Call Care Manager (LVN) to manage the Company’s after-hours clinical concerns as referred or requested. The majority of the on-call hours for this position are expected to take place after-hours during the weekdays:
- Mondays from 6:30AM through 8:30AM
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 5:00PM through 8:30AM

This position reports and works closely with the Director of Business Development in responding to leads for new potential clients in need of Windward Life Care’s services.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the internal sales function
- Respond to leads and inquiries, qualify new potential clients, and close sales through the agreement signature and scheduling of assessments and consultations
- Manage the sales pipeline: Document leads, potential clients, and new clients in CRM database in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner
- Regular follow-ups, contact, and cultivation with potential clients
- Efficiently and accurately complete new client intake paperwork for interdepartmental team members to provide appropriate services to the client
- Work with Aging Life Care Managers to provide necessary clinical information in preparation for new client assessments
- Achieve established company sales targets
Work Schedule: Work hours for this position take place 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday at our Banker’s Hill or San Marcos office locations. Remote work may also be available.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or similar fields preferred
- Two years of inside sales experience required, preferably with older adults
- Proven ability to use sales and marketing techniques, including needs-based sales techniques (e.g. SPIN Selling®), to convert leads into new business and meet sales targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail required
- Proficiency in the use of: PC and/or laptop computers, smart phone, Google Suite, and CRM databases

The Accounting Manager is responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting tasks using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The Accounting Manager manages the entry of data, preparation of financial statements, payables, invoicing, backup assistance as needed to payroll for approximately 130 employees, and the general smooth administration of daily accounting operations. The Accounting Manager also works closely with others in the Operations department to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and assess risk, as well as working with the outside CPA to ensure financial statements and tax returns are prepared accurately and timely. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm in our San Diego office location.
Position Requirements Include:
- Minimum 5 years of FP&A, accounting, and/or bookkeeping experience required.
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles required.
- Experience with payroll processing, workers compensation, tax reporting (property, 1099’s, payroll), wage and hour law, and benefits (401k, ACA 1094/1095’s)
- Self-starter that needs little to no supervision with great attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leadership, judgment, and organizing competencies to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office applications, HRIS database systems, and internet usage (familiarity with QuickBooks, Paychex, and ClearCare is extremely helpful)
- Ability to pass Home Care Services Bureau (HCSB) background screen required.
- Advanced accounting or business education is a plus.
